Types of Inspections
Below is just a breif discription of the various discount programs.  For more information, please contract your agent or our office.

Basic 4 Point Inspection:
This report is designed to inform the Insurance carrier of just how well you maintain your home.

Four Point Insurance Surveys Includes:

1) A Roof Inspection; is viewed from the ground, insurance companies are interested in how old the roof covering is and the expected remaining life.

2) An Electrical Inspection; a visual inspection is performed noting updates along with type of service wiring is reported.

3) A HVAC Inspection (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning); last update, size, type (heat pump, electric forced air, wall unit, etc...  age and remaining expected life is reported.

4) A Plumbing Inspection; concerns are; type and condition of piping being used, water heater age and the latest updates such as new fixtures, remodeled kitchen or bath, new drain lines are being reported.

Citizens 4 Point Inspections
are for homes over 50 Years Old; these are very simular to the basic 4 point inspection but are a little more detailed and a seperate electrical inspection of the main electrical panel is usually required.

Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection
(for discounts on your wind insurance premiums)
This involves the inspector to determine the roof shape and how it is secured to the home, gaining access to your attic and four exterior digital photos of the property. Opening protection will also be checked to see if the home complies to Miami-Dade Hurricane Standards
If for any reason such as a flat roof or no attic access and we must remove a soffit cover to complete your inspection, and additional $60.00 fee will be added.

Walter Loss Prevention
(ONLY United Property and Casualty offer discounts for plumbing)
Varifying that all plumbing fixtures are properly connected and in good condition.

Citizens Roof Condition Inspection
This inspection is only required for Citizens to determine
the estimated remaining life of the roof.
