Thermal Imaging
During a thermal imagining inspection we scan of your home using a special infrared thermal imaging camera. An infrared (IR) camera detects very small temperature variations in your home’s components, behind the walls, above the ceiling and beneath the floors. These, often very minor, temperature differences can indicate the existence of ‘invisible’ problems that often can’t be found in a traditional home inspection.
Benefits of Thermal Imaging in the detection of:
- Water infiltration (roof leaks located with recent rain fall within 24~48 hours)
- Cold air infiltration
- Excessive moisture in building materials
- Stud / Joist / Beam / Rafter placement and structure
- Insulation gaps, insufficient and unevenness
- Electrical drops, panels, breakers, switches and wire connections
- Heating and cooling duct placement, insulation, air leaks
