Four Point Inspections

A “Four Point Inspection” zeros in on four areas of the home: HAVC (Heating and A/C Units), Electrical wiring and panels, Plumbing connections and fixtures, and the age and condition of the roof. This is a specific inspection that is done at the request of insurance companies. When you purchase a new home or renew an existing policy, a four point inspection may be required to get insurance on the property. Insurance company’s common concern is that there could be conditions in older homes that could become a liability. They are looking for the four systems to be generally good working condition and fulfilling their intended function. If the home is an older home the insurance companies want to see that the systems have been updated.
